CocoRoo’s founder, Iowan Jill Howarth, was frustrated with all the added chemicals, water, and unnecessary ingredients in most skin care products, so she took matters into her own hands. Her journey began in Australia where she lived for 14 years. Living in the warm Australia sun is great for year-round fun, but also hard on your skin. This, in addition to her passion for organic products, inspired Jill to create a natural and more effective way to moisturize and hydrate skin. She wanted to create something she would feel good about using on her young daughter.
Like most endeavors, it took time to get it right. All products are vegan and cruelty free and even edible! The ingredients, like cold-pressed raw coconut and macadamia nut oil, were carefully selected for their wonderful benefits for healthier and softer skin. Coconut oil is unique because it is one of the richest source’s of lauric acid which helps retain moisture and penetrates deep into the skin. Macadamia oil is rich in essential fatty acids, making it easy for skin to absorb without feeling greasy. It mimics the skin’s natural oils, allowing you to maintain your natural glow. 
Once the natural ingredients were selected (literally just three or four), it was time to perfect the blend and design beautiful and functional packaging. Frustration with dipping hands into unsanitary jars, was the inspiration to package their products in beautiful soft-touch squeeze tubes specifically designed for body care.
