This is to enter the Floral Plein Air by Bloomsbury Farm and DKW Art Gallery to be held on 7/26/2025. By entering I recognize that even though it is not a juried event, I must also email an example of my art to the email below. If I do not email an example of my art by the date below, I forfeit any change of entering.  The Plein Air will take place among the acres of gorgeous zinnias, wildflowers and even blooming pumpkins, at Bloomsbury Farm in Atkins, Iowa just west of Cedar Rapids. There will be countless opportunities for artists to capture the beauty of colors, textures and more. This is a TIMED 4-hour competition! That’s right, from blank canvas to finish, you have only 4 hours. No other time will be given to finish. And looking over your shoulders will be hundreds of Bloomsbury patron there for their arts show.

Upon submission and payment of this entry, please email an example of either a floral art or a landscape art done by you. The jpeg must be at least at 600 x 600 kb and the file no larger than 1MB. Please email to art@dkwgallery.com

Description

  • This event takes place at Bloomsbury Farm located in Atkins, IA and is a rain or shine event.
  • Entry fee is non-refundable
  • Artist must submit picture of floral or landscape with entry.
  • Artist may display submitted artwork alongside while painting.
  • Canvas or entry may not be larger than 18” x 24”
  • Canvas may be primed only and must be stamped by DKW prior to event.
  • No art may be applied to canvas/surface prior air horn or after air horn ends event.
  • You will have dozens of spots to choose from.
  • Awards & prizes will be handed our at an event immediately following the Plein Air on the grounds of Bloomsbury Farms.
  • The artist is allowed to sell their art at anytime during the event with zero commission to be paid.
  • All art not sold the day of the event will be on display at DKW Art Gallery for 30 days at a 20% commission. At the end of the 30 days all art will be returned to the artists.

Shipping Policy

We do our own packing to ensure all shipments received are in excellent condition. We try to ship within 2 days of receiving the order. If there is a delay, we will notify you.

Refund Policy

Sometimes that artwork you fell in love with just doesn't fit or the colors don't jive as you had hoped. Should there be a problem with your order, please contact us and we'll do what we can to make it right. To be eligible for a refund or exchange, your item must be in the original packing and same condition that you received it. Sales on commissioned and personalized items are final.

Cancellation / Return / Exchange Policy

We appreciate your business and will gladly accept returns and exchanges on stock items only. Please contact us within 5 days of delivery and must be returned to us within 15 days of delivery. Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs and loss of value of the item if not returned in original condition. Buyer is responsible for shipping cost on returned or exchanged items. Sales on commissioned and personalized items are final.
