Order Processing & Shipping As a rule of thumb, we try and process and ship ALL orders within 1-2 business days. With that being said, orders placed by 3pm CST will typically ship via USPS the same day IN MOST CASES; if not then they will ship the next BUSINESS DAY. Orders placed Friday-Sunday will typically process and ship the following Monday or Tuesday at the latest. Holiday orders, USPS observed Federal Holidays and Winter weather can impact processing and shipping times. The estimated delivery date is when your order should arrive. Generally, the estimated delivery date is based on a combination of the processing time for the items you ordered (how long it takes the seller to create and prepare them for shipment), and the transit time (how long the package is typically in transit with the shipping carrier).

Processing time + Carrier transit time = Estimated Delivery Date

For example: If the processing time for orders placed with The Tired Nurse is 1-2 days, and the transit time for the standard USPS shipping method is usually 2-4 days (standard delivery, cheapest rate), your estimated delivery date is 2-5 days from date of purchase. Lost or Missing Packages Please note: Once item is shipped and/or marked as delivered via tracking provided to its location (as listed in your checkout information)- I am not responsible for any lost or stolen items. If you have had issues in the past with lost or stolen packages at your address, please use a different/secure or monitored address, or consider a slight upgraded shipping cost for signature confirmation. Is your mail delivered to a porch/door or do you have postal boxes or a mail room at your residence? I always recommend checking there first. Also, it is not uncommon for end of the day mail to be noted as delivered and not be there but shows up the next day. It has happened multiple times as reported from customers.  I would recommend after checking the above mentioned to check with the post office and see if they can track it initially or start a claim process on that parcel. As per my shipping policy, this is a difficult situation as I feel absolutely terrible when an order is not received, yet I cannot be responsible for items once they leave the shop. I have zero control over what the post office does (sometimes they get lost in transit) or the possibility of strangers taking mail from people’s homes/porches (sadly common in some US states). Your item ships from the Midwest- delivery of winter orders have been known to be impacted by snowstorms as our airports and North/South, as well as East/West bound highways are frequently shut down in blizzard conditions. If you order in the winter months, please note there COULD be a delay on the postal end due to the above. Please contact your local post office and provide them with tracking information for further assistance in the event you have an issue with a lost/missing package. You can enter a claim with them for the missing package. Customs and import taxes on International orders: Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply.
