These Iowa themed decorative trivets are carved from locally sourced Poplar hardwood that is strong and durable for ensured longevity. Carved on both sides for max functionality. Slots are cut into the back for wall hanging as a kitchen décor when not in use. Can be hung horizontally or vertically. A variety of styles are available to choose from. 6×10″ size, 3/4″ thick . Each trivet has a diagonal fluting pattern of the backside with three hanging slots. Each slot has an undercut ledge in the pocket for safe hanging. All outside edges rounded over and hand sanded for comfortable handling. Food Grade mineral oil was used as a natural finish, making future conditioning simple and easy.

This Trivet selection is made from Solid Poplar, an excellent hardwood for this type of application. Poplar varies in color and it is common to have darker tones and green in the wood. I hand select each board to ensure that the front (presentation) side is a light tone similar to maple. Back sides may vary in color.

**Note** that the Valentines Hearts Patterns do have some stain bleeding into the grain as shown in the photos.
