Description
These repurposed boot button bracelets are made from repurposed Victorian era boot buttons (pre 1920s). These buttons would have adorned high top Victorian era lady’s boots. The buttons were made in Muscatine, Iowa from freshwater mussel shell from the Mississippi River. In the 1890s Muscatine was known as the Pearl Button Capitol of the World, and these buttons where exported worldwide for ladies boots.
These vintage dark gray mother of pearl boot buttons have been made into stretch bracelets that fit most small to large women’s wrists. Each bracelet comes with a card that explains the history of the antique boot buttons.
