The Laura Ingalls Wilder Park & Museum is the only childhood home of the author of the “Little House” books that is still standing on its original site. Tours are offered May-October through the Masters Hotel where the Ingalls lived and worked in 1876. The gift shop in the Visitors Center carries a large selection of books by Ingalls Wilder and other authors, plus clothing, jewelry, toys, dolls and souvenirs.
